THE BEAUTIFUL PAMINGGIR  WHEN WILL BE TOURISM DESTINATION?

           You know Paminggir?

Paminggir is a village in Hulu Sungai Utara regency. It is an isolated area situated in Paminggir Subcounty which is the farest  and longest to reach from Amuntai, the capital city of  HSU regency.

The village  is also placed in the border of two regencies, Barito Kuala regency (South Kalimantan) and Barito Selatan Regency (Central kalimantan). You can see the village from this picture;

If you are fond of water tourism it can be of your choice. You can go there by small boat, motor boat or speed boat from Danau Panggang Harbour (Pelabuhan Danau Panggang) one of the subcounties in HSU regency that is about 25 kilometres from Amuntai and you can go by car or motorcycles. It takes 45 minutes or 1 hour to go there. When you go through the river you will see beautiful scenary full of eceng gondok or ilung (banjarese language) beside your boat..

In your trip to Paminggir over right and left side of your boat there will be groups of water buffaloes swimming to find grass to eat or some Bekantan (special sharp nose monkeys from borneo) sitting on a tree branch eating rambai (special fruit which growsn in the river side) joyfully.
