WATER TOURISM IN PAMINGGIR

In Indonesia so many tourism sites we can enjoy, almost all over provinces provide many kinds of tourism we can see or enjoy. such Papua with forest and mountain, Java with mountain, beach and zoo or Sumatera with some lakes( Toba lake) and Borneo or Kalimantan with river tourism sometimes called the thousand rivers city

In South Kalimantan you can enjoy rafting in Loksado, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency.  In Hulu Sungai Utara actually there is a place which is so potential as water tourism but the local goverment doesn't concern to raise up the place. Exactly in Paminggir subcounty which the area 90 % is water. The scenary is so beautiful with beautiful Ilung (eceng gondok) around.yo can see the picture below:

some years ago in Barawa one of the villages in Paminggir  ever held a usual event, that is water buffolo racing..very interesting, but now there is no activity done there.

          Beside you can see some scenary but you can also enjoy water transportation which is availab in Danau Panggang Harbour (pelabuhan) such as motor boat, long boat, small boat, or speed boat you can see in the picture below:
