HOW TO MAKE GOOD ASSESSMENT IN INSTRUCTION

(BAGAIMANA MEMBUAT PENILAIAN YANG BAIK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN)

              There are three important part in instruction. They are planning the instruction, doing the instruction and evaluating or doing assessment.

A. Planning the Instruction

              To make instruction runs well there must be a good  plan. In instruction it is called Lesson Plan or  
      Scenario.  The teacher must be creative and mastery the material going to be taught and he or she must 
      have variative method and strategy included in. Lesson Plan must have:
      1. Identity (subject, class, term/semester)
      2. Standard of Competence
      3. Basic Competence
      4. Indicator
      5. Objective
      6. time Allocation
      7. steps
          a. Pre
          b.whilst (exploration, elaboration, and confirmation).
      8. Method/Technique
      9. Source
      10.Techique of evaluation /how to assess

B. Doing The Instruction

               The second part of instruction is doing the instruction. It means we apply or implement the plan we 
      have made in real class. The teacher must be ready in every occassion when he or she in classroom. 
      He should rememeber or follow all of the thing he planed or he also must change the technique or 
      strategy if the situation or atmhospere doesn't support.

C. Evaluating or doing an assessment

               Evaluating is the process doing to know whether the program/instruction has been done well or 
       target can be achieved or not. To know the evaluation done well or not can be done through the 
       assessment.  
       In assessing can be done through some ways such as :
       1. test
       2. interview
       3.performance
       4.project
       5.etc

      a. Test    

                      The way to know the progress of students mostly teachers uses test in a instruction. 

            There are  two kind of test here, they are open ended test and closed ended test.
            1) Open ended test
                         this kind of test needs  unspecific or open answer such an essay test or writing test.
            2) Close ended test.
                          This test  provides such answer or the answer has been determined, such :
                 a) Multiple Choice
                 b) Matching
                 c) Cloze Test

        b. Interview

                     This  way done through oral technique to know detail information about the students'  
            progress. This is good way to know what has the student mastery by reasking  or confirming them.
        

        c. Project

                    This kind of a ssesment needs student's capability to do which can describe their competence.
            By doing this kind of assessment techer can see the student's real and wider competence.
    
        Over all to get best result of assesment needs at least some requirements, such as :

       Validity

                       Validity means   measure what must be measured or test what must be tested not meaured or 
          tested others. It follows the indicator stated will be tested. 
       

        Realibility

                  It means the result of assessment must be consistent in any situation not change or unpredictable.

        Simple

                  Simple here means the assessment will done must be effective and efficient (money and time) but
